Hey. Welcome. This is the journal of Todd Harris. I record random thoughts here, mostly about traveling. I collect tidbits and misadventures in the mountains of the Western United States on Toddot.net. I blog about genomics, bioinformatics, and science policy on my professional blog.

Ski Season 2006: Forecast

October 24, 2005

Ok, I’m getting nervous.

By this time last year, there was already snow in the valley. There had been several storms in the mountains and the resort was preparing to open. So far, there has only been a single storm in the mountains with no accumulation and the 10-day forecast looks bleak and sunny. 143 scheduled days of operation this year.

The resort is scheduled to open on 11/19. Pray for snow. Dear god, let it snow. I’ll be good, I promise.

UPDATE: Chance of snow Friday night with measurable accumulation (but only above 8500 ft).
