Caught this screening with the lovely and talented Emily Kimball.
A great documentary about construction workers building an extensive elevated highway through Mexico City.
An awesome soundtrack, too, comprised entirely of sounds from the construction site. Too bad it will probably never be available (composer at the Q&A said that it depended on the Sundance Institute). How absurd. The technology exists to make it available. Distribute the CD yourself or just distribute it for free on your website. And why not just have some copies on CD-Rs to distribute at the screening?
Unfortunately, artistry is sacrificied at the altar of greed I suppose. Still, just seems to me that it would be great press to have yoour compositions out there, leading to future contracts, etc.
